Rabbit Holes

And finding information

Today is about learning new things. I was recently sent on the hunt for information I thought I had. It turns out I can't read my own handwriting and I am struggling to verify the information I had written down previously.

This is the happy place for me, looking up information, learning new things, finding new sources for information. I find that I can go on Google and search around for quite a while following little threads and trails. I also use Newspapers.com to find information from printed papers in the past. This is so fun, because you can see how people had info presented to them. And in some cases, it sounds just as contemporary as something you would see online today.

I have set myself to continue searching for content for my book. I am not sure when it will be written, but I should really start collecting all the facts and put it in to a readable form. I want to share with everyone what it is I am finding and I don't have any reason not to. I guess just the worry that I won't be as inclusive in my book as I want to be. I have put together a loose outline and a basic introduction, but it really stops there. The rest is various pages of notes and research that needs a little more organizing.

I shall continue to follow the white rabbit and see what I can sort out. I am currently focused on information from some stylists that I am interested in their life stories. The content is scant online, and I do have to follow little crumb trails to see what there is to see. I am hoping to be able to share more with you as time goes on. If you would like, you can look back in my blog to see some of the tidbits I have found.

I look forward to being able to have more for you, and myself, each week.
