How are you doing?

No, really, how are you doing?

Today I am taking time to reflect on how things are going in these uncertain times. I am doing well for myself. I know that I can survive and thrive through the month of April. I can only hope that things will get somewhat back to normal after that.

I have been taking the time to cultivate friendships(online), learn new things(hair related and other), practice patience(not worrying), exercise(Zumba and resistance training), and work on all the behind the scenes things with my business(website, social media presence, etc.). This has been wonderful for productivity, but I do miss meeting people in person. There is something about sharing space with someone that is so valuable, I didn't realize how much I would miss it until it was, temporarily, taken away from me. I know that I will be able to practice my art on real people very soon.

So, how are you doing? Are you finding ways to occupy your time? Are you learning new things? Taking on a new hobby? Are you taking time to get to know you? These times are the perfect opportunity for develooping some new skills and understandings. I am quite grateful for the chance to be able to do this and to live in a place where the inconveniences are just that "inconveniences". I don't have to worry about shelter, food, health and the like. I am actually doing quite well. I do hope you are taking the time to count all of the blessings you have in this life.

I know this is not much about hair and hairdressing, but I thought it was important to talk about. If you need some ideas or a person to talk to, reach out, I am always glad to listen and offer ideas. I truly wish you health and prosperity.

And now back to our regularly scheduled program...
